Who Am I?

I was born and raised in Massachusetts and am the youngest child of three.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary/Special Education at Keene State College in New Hampshire, and my Master of Arts in Education from Gratz College in Pennsylvania.  I have taught at the Graduate level where I taught teachers how to teach effectively.  Prior to joining WW-P High School North, I taught 4th and 5th grade at the UES (now Millstone River) and 8th grade at Community Middle School.

Traveling is one of my favorite past times.  During the summers, I have been fortunate enough to be a Delegation Leader for People to People.  I've taken high school students to Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, England, Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia.  We visited local schools, ecological parks, a tropical AND temperate rain forest, climbed mountains, and swam in salt water thermal springs!

I presently live in Pennsylvania with my husband, Jack, and dog, Kea.  Our son, Michael, is a graduate student at West Virginia University and is looking forward to student teaching in the spring and getting married in the summer...(Go Mountaineers!)

Mission For The Class
My personal goals for Biology, Forensics, and Environmental Science are to enable the students to complete the Science curricula in a way that is both informative and interesting, to aid in the development of higher level thinking skills, to help them make connections between the topics covered and the real world, and to encourage them to strive to be responsible, respectful, and honest learners.  I would like to achieve this all while making science fun.
