Your weekly journal helps us work together.  Your journal is a safe place to share your frustrations and small successes and personal thoughts.

Instructions for weekly journals:

  • count as part of homework grade
  • worth a maximum of 3 points
  •  due at the end of the last class each week
  • one full page
  • do not just describe the week's lessons
  •
  • What might you write about?
      • Was a lesson/activity/lab/demo/do now, etc. particularly effective (or not) in helping you master a concept?

      • What do you not understand? What remains unclear?

      • What follow-up questions do you have? What are you curious about?

      • Did you have a 'physics moment' while listening, watching, reading the news, tv, movies, books, magazines, video, radio, etc?

      • What connections do you see between the concepts we are studying and your everyday experiences?

      • MIX IT UP - choose a different writing prompt each week until you get used to journaling
