The school nurse is a student's advocate pursuing the optimal level of health for each student. Our practice focuses on the education and general well being of every student in the school environment. This is accomplished throught student, family, school and community cooperation.

The health  office is open every day between 7:15 AM and 2:50 PM for the treatment of illness, treatment of minor injuries, gym  excuses, as well as preventative care. Students may come to the health office anytime during the day with a pass, and without a pass during lunch.

NJ State law states that students, including those over 18 years old, are not permitted to carry medications (prescription or non prescription) in school. Any medication to be administered during the school day must be administered by the school nurse after the required written approvals have been obtained. The form for this approval is available in the health office or on the district web site. Only students with "life threatening" conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or anaphylaxis, may be permitted to carry and self administer their own medication after the required written approval has been obtained.
